My Teacher My Hero

Why My Teacher is a Hero

When we mentioned the word hero, I often think those who sacrifice their own lives, those who are popular for their achievements in the country, or those people who made things that made the country better. Often, these heroes came in time of war or tragedy, but I rarely think that almost every day there is a hero that you see and talk to them.

A hero is an entity that shows noble principles and tireless service providers in the community. After all, we all can be heroes; we should be honest and strive in our work for others and not just for ourselves.

For me, an example of this is our parents. It is not a joke to become a parent, by the time their child is born, it is their first priority in their lives. They are responsible for taking care of them. Every day, they are providing the food, home, and education of their children.

We also considered our teachers like our parents. As they said, they are our second parents. They provide us our needed knowledge for the future, not only for academics but also for our humanities and good morals that we will be applying while we are living.

I am very lucky that God gave me my teachers. I salute them and I considered them my heroes.

Science Month Celebration 2014

Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful
Defenses towards National Wellness

Every September, we are celebrating the Science Month Celebration where students will participate in the different contests. The theme for this year’s National Science Club Month celebration is “Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful Defenses towards National Wellness.”

According to the internet, Immunation is a play on words on ammunition and immunization. They would like the science clubbers to be armed or to be immune against diseases through imparting knowledge about disease, how they spread, etc. Its goal is not only the science clubbers that benefit from this knowledge but also their school and communities and thus leading to national wellness.

Since our country today can be entered by many diseases from the other countries, this theme promotes that we should be prepared and be healthy to prevent such diseases that can cause death.

My Modern Heroes

I Salute My Modern Heroes

A lot of thoughts came to my mind when one of our teachers asked, “Who is your greatest hero?” I was bound to answer that question because anyone can be my hero without being famous and being globally known. For instance, I have my friends that give me advises that I really look for and helping me for some of my problems, and also my teachers who educate me for a success. These are my considered heroes, but there are these people who made it to be my heroes and who I was within times of pains and struggles in life. They deserve to be called My Greatest Heroes.

For me, my greatest heroes are my parents. Yes, you read it right! They used as an instruments of God why I am living. I lift up my chin in times of disappointments and sadness because they taught me how. They are the first one who gave me good moral values to know and they are always supporting me in every matter. Sometimes, they disagreed what I want to do but I listen to their reasons why they don’t like it, because they know what is good for me.

Living in a colorful life and creating new destinations is because of my parents. This motivates me in becoming a person with an ability to do more. I became the person who I am now. Heroes are more than people who save cats from trees. I thank God for giving me with these people. And I know heroes love to take credibility for changing a person. Enacting all the qualities that they taught me is the best way in paying them for all the hard work that they've done just to make me better among the better.
